- Scanning—Using digital imaging, we’ll scan your tooth and take impressions to obtain accurate measurements for your crown.
- Designing – From these impressions, we’ll create a model of your CEREC crown to use in the milling process.
- 3D Milling—While you wait patiently in our dental office, our milling machine will customize your crown. CEREC crowns are milled from solid blocks of ceramic material for durability and a natural, tooth-colored appearance.
- Placing – When your crown is finished, we’ll fit it over your tooth and cement it in place permanently to renew your smile.
How long do CEREC crowns last?
With good oral care, your CEREC crown can last up to 15 years, comparable to the lifespan of a traditional crown.
